Confidential Information

At MBO Direct, we value confidentiality and we protect intellectual property. When we refer to  "confidential Information" we mean any material or information provided to, or created by, a platform user (buyer or provider) to evaluate a project opportunity or to determine the suitability of Knowledge Worker for the project. If something is considered confidential information, our rules apply whether that information is intangible, electronic, verbal, graphic, visual, or other form.

The following are NOT considered confidential information:

  1. Anything that is generally known by other people, so long as it has not been revealed or concealed by the Knowledge Worker nor Service Buyer.
  2. Anything that was lawfully received by the platform user from a third party that has the right to share the information
  3. Anything that was already known by User prior to receiving it from the other party
  4. Anything that was independently developed by User without use of another person’s Confidential Information
